Who We Are

Modern Mission Systems (MMS), a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business founded in 2015, is led by a dynamic team of experts dedicated to creating innovative solutions for their clients. MMS's "People First Approach"™ translates into consistent business decisions based on staff wellbeing as well as the best interests of the client.

What we do

MMS's primary capabilities are focused on IT Support Services, Cyber Security Services, and Mission Solutions.

IT Support Services:

MMS's core competencies encompass Software and Systems Architecture, Design, Development, Integration, Configuration Management, and Testing. Our Program Managers and Directors formulate IT service support plans to augment government engineering workforce teams with a wide range of Systems and Software resources. MMS also provides support to Government clients with Agile Acquisition and Program Management expertise, both in the role of the Government as the Integrator (GI) and as an industry System Integrator (SI).

Cyber Security Services:

MMS's leadership recognizes the critical demand for Cyber Security Services to to our Clients. Below is just a list of the support we have provided our clients:

  • Creating and shaping Cyber Security and Risk Management Policies and Procedures

  • Hardening and Securing Applications and Operating Systems

  • Establishing and Implementing Security Controls per the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)

    • Performing Analyses and Creating System Security Plans per the NIST FISMA Documentation Suit

    • Implementing the RMF/Developing Security and Audit Control

  • Working with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to Build STIG Baselines for Various Platforms and Operating Systems

  • Preparing Systems for Authority to Operate (ATO)

  • Vulnerability Scanning, Penetration Testing, and  Analysis with tools such as ACAS, Tanium, Nexpose Rapid 7, Nessus, Retina, Wikto, Nikto, AppScan, WebInspect

  • Continuous monitoring per NIST SP 800-37 for risk and vulnerability mitigation

MMS is ready to support firms whom are required to obtain compliance with the Cyber Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). MMS established its new division, Modern Security Services (MSS), which developed CyberStout™, our proprietary apprach for securing companies conducting government business to the required level with the required business process’s and artifacts to implement. CyberStout is also available to meet the cybersecurity essential needs of commercial services firms whom feel their Cybersecurity posture isn’t fully documented with repeatable process and prodecure

MMS designs cutting-edge solutions for C2/ISR and ARMY ERP Mission Solutions while mitigating programmatic risk and increasing system utilization rates.
